An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) is an electrical device that provides backup power to critical electronic equipment when the primary power source fails. The primary purpose of a UPS is to ensure that there is no interruption in power supply to devices like computers, servers, networking equipment, and other sensitive electronics, which can be particularly vulnerable to sudden power outages or fluctuations.
A UPS typically consists of a battery or set of batteries and an inverter.
